Open Registration Period for the XIII Talent Contest 2025 in support of Red Cross Youth
The twelfth edition of the Talent Contest, organized by the Youth Department, will be held on August 5th at the Municipal Gardens, as part of the Cultural Summer.

This event, as every year, has a charitable purpose as the money raised from ticket sales goes to Red Cross Youth Villarrobledo.

This was pointed out by the Youth Councillor Juan José Calero, accompanied by the youth technician, Carlos Martínez, Red Cross President Bernardo Coronado, and representatives of the dance group «Dorayakis Legacy,» winners of the 2024 edition who will perform as guest artists this year.

In this sense, Calero mentioned that the Talent Contest started in 2012 with the aim of promoting amateur talents of any artistic style and, at the same time, raising funds through ticket sales for Red Cross Youth.

Through this event, which showcases talent in singing, dancing, and variety categories, in its 12 editions, a total of €21,762 has been raised for Red Cross programs dedicated to the most underprivileged, thanking the entire city for their solidarity year after year, making it one of the most established activities of the Cultural Summer.

Juan José Calero encourages all citizens to attend and purchase their solidarity ticket, priced at €3 in advance and €5 at the door on the day of the event. Tickets, which will go on sale in two weeks, can be purchased at the usual points of sale in the municipality, at the Casa de la Cultura, Cafetería Julia, Cafetería la Campana, and Los Detalles de Yolí.

On the other hand, Carlos Martínez mentioned that the contest rules are already published on the department’s website: www.juventud.villarrobledo.com, encouraging all interested parties to register. Registrations are now open and will close on July 31st, with a limit of 16 performances, accepting registrations on a first-come, first-served basis.

Remember that the prizes are awarded according to the criteria of a professional jury composed of: 1 representative from Red Cross, 1 representative from the sponsors, this year will also include a teacher from AMM, and a representative from last year’s winning group, Dorayakis Legacy, who will also perform as guest artists.

The jury will choose the winners of each category, with the audience ultimately deciding the overall winner of the contest.

Carlos Martínez thanks all the companies and businesses that collaborate and sponsor this event every year, providing prizes and gifts for the raffles.

From Red Cross, Bernardo Coronado appreciates that the Department considers Red Cross as the beneficiary of this event, also thanking the artists and the public who support by purchasing tickets, as the donated money supports the programs that this organization carries out in our city, in collaboration with the Municipal Social Services.

Programs such as School Support, where specialized monitors help children and young people from underprivileged families with their schoolwork, proposing fun activities and offering a healthy snack. Red Cross also carries out workshops on prevention and healthy living habits, organizes school supplies campaigns, and has programs to support vulnerable families.

For all these reasons, the support collected through the Talent Contest is very important and helps many people in need.

Red Cross Youth will be present during the event, assisting with organization and logistics, collaborating with the department in its development.

From Dorayakis Legacy, they add that they have fond memories of the 2024 edition where they were winners, a reward for all the hard work and effort they put into their performance at the Talent Contest.

It was a very emotional moment, as it will be this year to show the audience what they have prepared in three performances as guest artists, dancing again the choreography that won in 2024, showcasing the routine they performed in recent dance competitions in Madrid and Valencia, and closing with a routine they also presented at the Grand Theatre, all with the spectacular force that characterizes them.
