Ana Delgado will continue to lead the Federation of Teaching of Comisiones Obreras Castilla-La Mancha after receiving 91% of the support in the XII Regional Congress that ended this Saturday in Albacete.
The new Executive Committee is composed of Ana Delgado as general secretary, along with Modesto Gómez, Sixto Santa Cruz, Sagrario González, Antonio Romero, Goyo Muro, Borja Alarcón, Francisco José Diaz, Ángel Cazalilla, and Margarita Alvarado, as reported by CCOO in a press release.
The four years of work ahead begin with «Excitement and responsibility,» defended the new general secretary, thanking for the support received, and pointing out the current complex time for society and the educational community.
«We face a changing scenario, with new challenges and opportunities. But we are convinced that, with unity, commitment, and struggle, the Federation of Teaching of CCOO in Castilla-La Mancha will continue to be a benchmark in defending the rights of teachers and all education workers,» Delgado stated.
In this path, the federation also aims to continue expanding the participation of young people in trade union action, «where we play a fundamental role in defending the rights of youth in the educational sector, addressing both the labor precariousness of young workers and inclusion and diversity in the classrooms.»
CCOO Teaching «promotes reforms and strategies to involve this sector of the population more in the fight for their rights.»
The new regional leadership headed by Ana Delgado has a whole program of actions ready in the sectors it comprises, for university education, for labor personnel, for non-university public teaching personnel, for professionals in private and concerted education, for the disability sector, or centers for minors.
CONGRESSUAL PROCESS
With the Congress of the Teaching Federation, a month of March ends in which CCOO Castilla-La Mancha has renewed the different federations and provincial unions.
Federico Pérez remains at the helm of CCOO Toledo, and Javier Morales at the helm of CCOO Guadalajara; in CCOO Cuenca, the new general secretary is Carlos Hortelano; in Ciudad Real, Esther Serrano is the new general secretary, and in CCOO Albacete, Paco Gómez has been elected as general secretary.
In the Federation of Pensioners and Retirees, the elected general secretary is Juani Sierra; the CCOO Habitat federation re-elected Maribel Cabañero, and the Services Federation to Sagrario Mancebo.
The Federation of Health and Health-related Sectors has chosen Pilar Ramos as the new general secretary, and Carmen Juste has been elected as the new general secretary of the Services to Citizens Federation of CCOO CLM.
And in the Industry Federation, Juan Antonio Cuevas is the new regional general secretary.
The Regional Congress of CCOO Castilla-La Mancha, which will take place on May 15 and 16 in Toledo, is yet to be celebrated.
