The Councilor for Education, Alejandro Hernández, and the director of the Municipal Infant Schools (EEIIMM), Ana Sendra, have announced the opening of the pre-registration period for the Municipal Infant Schools, which will run from Monday, March 3 to March 31.
A total of 192 places will be offered, of which 106 will be for new enrollment and 71 will be for children continuing from the previous year. The distribution by centers is as follows:
- Las Norias Infant School: 57 total places (24 for continuing students and 33 for new enrollment).
- El Jardín Infant School: 45 total places (20 for continuing students and 25 for new enrollment).
- La Puerta de la Villa Infant School: 45 total places (24 for continuing students and 21 for new enrollment).
- Las Huertas Infant School: 45 total places (18 for continuing students and 27 for new enrollment).
Regarding the age offer, there will be 82 places for 0 to 1-year-olds, born in 2024 and 2025, and 24 places for 2-year-old children, born in 2023.
Furthermore, she pointed out that, although all applications have been accommodated in recent years, the admission criteria allow families with higher scores, based on factors such as employment status, to choose their preferred center.

Lastly, Sendra has mentioned that on March 22, the ninth educational day of the EEIIMM will be held, focusing on attachment.
