The vice president of Social Welfare, Family, and Youth of the Toledo Provincial Council, Daniel Arias, presented on Wednesday in a press conference the summer camps program that the provincial government has prepared for residents of Toledo between 7 and 17 years old.
A total of 700 spots will be offered, which is 90 more than last year. The vice president highlighted that ten percent of the spots in the pre-benjamin, benjamin, children, and multi-adventure camps are reserved for children and youth with diverse disabilities and/or rare diseases, as reported by the Toledo Provincial Council in a press release.
Alongside the head of the Family and Youth section, Concepción Magán, the vice president emphasized that the goal of the institution is to provide a different environment for activities in nature, promote values education, and foster the social inclusion of participants. The aim is for the children to enjoy and have fun through leisure and free time activities.
The increase in the number of spots allows for ten percent to be reserved for children and youth with diverse disabilities and/or rare diseases. Each association will choose the beneficiaries based on the available spots in each week and category.
This «effort» by the Provincial Council to assist those in need ensures that all residents of Toledo, regardless of their condition, can benefit from these leisure activities. To make the stay of these boys and girls as pleasant as possible at the camps, they will be accompanied by a person responsible for attending to them during their stay and assisting them in tasks and activities.

The vice president explained the details of each of the five camps, emphasizing that there are five camp modalities and that they are economically accessible, with all costing 100 euros except the one held in Galicia, which will cost 250 euros.
