Councilor of Employment at the Almansa City Council, Pablo Sánchez, accompanied by the Councilor of Personnel, Matilde Cuenca, held a press conference to report on the publication of the provisional list of accepted and excluded individuals in the Active Employment Support Program 2025, known as the Employment Plan.

Sánchez emphasized the publication of this list, highlighting that it is the first time that the Almansa City Council has publicly disclosed the scoring of the candidates. “This is another step in our commitment to transparency. We want the employment plan to be treated like any other public employment process, with publicity, guarantees, and standardization,” he stated, detailing that it can now be accessed through the municipal website ().

A total of 288 applications were received, out of which 200 were accepted and scored, while 88 were excluded, mainly for not proving the status of long-term unemployed individuals. According to the criteria, this refers to those who have been unemployed for at least 12 of the last 18 months.

Interested individuals have a period of five business days to file complaints against this provisional list. These should be submitted on the first floor of the Economic Promotion Center (CLIPE), where guidance on the process will also be provided.

Pablo Sánchez emphasized that this is not the final list, as the 25 individuals referred directly from Social Services must still be included, as per the criteria, and any possible appeals must be reviewed. Additionally, the councilor indicated that the scoring includes a ranking based on objective criteria, but does not guarantee direct access to the plan.

The Employment Council also noted that there are 11 vacant official positions and 8 coordinator positions due to the lack of candidates meeting the long-term unemployment requirements. To fill these, a new job offer has been opened. The Municipality’s intention is to start the first phase of hiring in the next month of May, once the work team is complete, especially the group of coordinators, essential to initiate the plan.

Improvements in the call

In this edition, the City Council has introduced various improvements to ensure a more equitable and transparent selection process. Among the main novelties, the publication of the list with the scoring of the aspiring individuals stands out, the addition of additional points for those caring for dependent relatives — based on the degree of dependency — and the revision of the economic criterion: family income is no longer a cause for exclusion, but is assessed within the scoring.

Participants who were part of the 2024 Employment Plan have not been excluded, marking a change from previous editions.

The Employment Plan is funded by the European Social Fund Plus and is promoted by the Castilla-La Mancha Regional Government, through the Ministry of Economy, Companies, and Employment. Additionally, it is supported by the Ministry of Labor, the Albacete Provincial Council, and the Almansa City Council.
