The registration period for the Active Summer program of the City Council of Cuenca – known as the Municipal Summer Schools – opens this Monday, June 9th until Thursday, the 12th at the headquarters of the collaborating company, Centro de Estudios Ortega y Gasset (located at Calle Hermanos Becerril, 32, ground floor) from 9:15 to 13:15 and from 16:15 to 19:15.
The registration form will be available on the websites of the City Council and Centro de Estudios Ortega y Gasset, as well as in person at this institution and at the Department of Education of the City Council, located at Centro Cultural Aguirre.
The Municipal Active Summer program is aimed at students aged 3 to 12 who are enrolled in Infant and Primary Education Centers in the municipality of Cuenca and at the ‘Infanta Elena’ Special Education Center. In this 2025 edition, it will take place from June 23rd to September 5th at the schools Fuente del Oro, La Paz, and Santa Ana.
The schedule will be from 9:00 to 14:00, with the option of early morning care from 7:45 to 9:00 and afternoon care and school lunch from 14:00 to 15:00.
During this time, there will be recreational, sports, cultural, and educational activities organized in thematic sessions, visits, excursions, and educational activities under the theme ‘Explore your city’ to learn more about Cuenca.
The prices remain the same as in previous years, as they are regulated by Municipal Ordinance, with a weekly fee of 40 euros, two weeks for 60 euros, a full month for 100 euros, two months for 190 euros, and individual days for 10 euros. The prices do not include the early morning care, afternoon care, or school lunch services.
