On March 22nd, the I Solidarity Route will be held, an event organized by the «Patalea por la Inclusión Almansa» association, with the aim of raising funds to support people with disabilities. In a recent press conference, the Sports Councillor, Alejandro Hernández, and José Juan Mena, representative of the mentioned association, presented the details of this activity.
Hernández highlighted the importance of the Patalea por la Inclusión Association, which tirelessly works to defend the rights of people with disabilities, promoting their social inclusion. The councillor emphasized the work done, such as in the parade and various activities, like those carried out this past weekend. «Thanks to all the members of the association for their continuous effort and for organizing events like this that help raise funds to cover the materials and therapies necessary for girls and boys,» expressed Hernández.
On his part, José Juan Mena detailed that the route, with a distance of approximately 40 kilometers, will be suitable for cyclists of all levels. The event will start at 8:00 in the morning from the third phase industrial estate, heading towards Quijote. The route will go through rural paths, and at the end of the day, participants will be able to enjoy a lunch at the Manchegos headquarters. Mena thanked the collaborators who made the event possible and emphasized that in case of rain, the route would be canceled, but the event will continue with the lunch.
Mena also spoke about the need for these events to finance therapies and improve the conditions of the girls and boys attended by the association. «All of this is for them, so they can continue to evolve,» he stated.
Regarding registrations, Mena informed that the spots are filled, with a participation of around 150 people who will gather in this solidarity day, promising to be a success both in sports and socially.
Finally, both Hernández and Mena thanked once again all the collaborators and participants, highlighting that events like this are essential to continue the work of the association and support those who need it most.
