García-Page anuncia aumento de 8 millones de euros para empleo joven en Castilla-La Mancha

García-Page announces “eight million euros more” to support the hiring and stimulus of youth employment in Castilla-La Mancha

Orgaz (Toledo), May 2, 2025.- The President of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, announced this afternoon the approval in this month of May of “two decisions that will mean nothing less than eight million euros more to hire young people, to stimulate youth employment” that will represent “hundreds and hundreds of new job opportunities,” he emphasized.

He made this known in Orgaz (Toledo), during the inauguration of the Hospedería Casón del Conde, located in an emblematic building that has been rehabilitated thanks to the collaboration between the Junta and the City Council, which has allowed the recovery of a space much loved by the residents of the municipality, many of whom attended this inauguration event.

Specifically, García-Page explained that “three million euros” will be linked to the Youth Decree, which has also seen its hiring incentives expanded; and “five million” within the framework of the Investigo Program, which originates from the Next Generation Funds and which the Regional Government has decided to maintain, making Castilla-La Mancha “the only ones who have considered a program of this nature,” he explained.

“In this month of May, we will focus specifically on young people,” continued the head of the regional government, who also advanced a “plan to increase female hiring,” he pointed out.

At the inauguration of a new hotel resource, the regional president emphasized that tourism is “an industry with a huge future” that “means employment, economy, and spreads throughout the territory,” and also “an instrument of peace” because “traveling and getting to know each other means strengthening bonds between people,” he said. For all these reasons, he warned that “we must prepare” to continue growing in a sector that already supports “more than 50,000” jobs in the Autonomous Community.

A “great opportunity” in Japan with the Osaka Expo

“In this tourism strategy, we have a great opportunity, and we will take advantage of it in the coming days,” he continued, referring to the Osaka Expo in Japan, where the region will have a special role next week. In this regard, he noted that “the Asian market is the one that will grow the most in tourism in the coming years” and “is already growing enormously” with tourist-emitting countries such as “Korea, Japan, China of course, Vietnam, the Philippines, or India, which is currently the most populous country on earth,” he listed.

According to Emiliano García-Page, regions like Castilla-La Mancha are “more interested than coastal areas in this type of tourism,” as these visitors “come to see palaces, castles” and enjoy gastronomic experiences, so “we have a golden opportunity,” he concluded. “We will not miss any opportunity, especially those that democratize success,” he concluded.

Committed to Orgaz and its future Autism Center

In his speech, the regional president emphasized the need to continue working to promote “cohesion” in the region through the generation of wealth and employment “to live with more equality, which translates into healthcare centers, not only in major cities; in universal and free education; in social assistance or in a center like the one needed by people with greater vulnerabilities,” as is the case in Orgaz, where García-Page reiterated his commitment to supporting the opening of a center that addresses the needs of people with autism.

At this point, President García-Page assured that “we will end up closing that agreement because, among other things, we are probably the region that invests the most, per capita, in all types of disabilities,” he emphasized.

At this inauguration, the head of the regional government was accompanied by the Minister of Economy, Companies, and Employment, Patricia Franco; the Government Spokesperson of the regional government, Esther Padilla; the Mayor of Orgaz, Tomás Villarrubia; and the managers of this hotel establishment that adds to the tourist offering of Castilla-La Mancha.
