The Almansa City Council has announced the opening of the registration period for the dual Training and Employment program in the plumbing, heating, and domestic air conditioning sector. The initiative, promoted in collaboration with local companies, is aimed at unemployed individuals and seeks to improve their employability through a combination of theoretical training and practical experience in sector companies.
The Councillor for Employment, Pablo Sánchez, highlighted the success of the previous edition, where a 100% job placement rate was achieved for participants. «This result has encouraged us to repeat the initiative, confident that it will once again offer real job opportunities to those who participate,» he noted.
The program, funded by the Castilla-La Mancha Regional Government with the support of the Spanish Government, will have a duration of six and a half months, taking place between April 28 and October 27, 2025. During this period, the eight selected students will receive 320 hours of training and carry out 595 hours of work in companies, totaling 915 hours of theoretical-practical learning.
The collaborating companies in this edition are Anastasio Teruel S.L.U, Articlima S.L, Fontanería Daniel, José Enrique Espada López, Valentín Torodov Valev, Daniel Mora López, and Repara S.L.
One of the program’s highlights is the attainment of the professional certificate in «Plumbing, Heating, and Domestic Air Conditioning Operations,» which will expand the job opportunities for participants. Additionally, the program includes a minimum hiring commitment of 20% of students upon completion of training, although in previous editions, 100% of participants have been hired.
Sánchez made a special appeal to unemployed women interested in the sector: «We want to promote female participation in a traditionally male-dominated field. There is no reason why a woman cannot be a plumber or air conditioning installer. We encourage all interested women to sign up.»
The project has a total grant of 94,155.20 euros, allocated to training, management, and support for hiring. During the duration of the alternating training, participants will receive more than 85% of the minimum wage.
With this initiative, the Almansa City Council strengthens its commitment to training and job placement in sectors with high demand for employment, promoting real job opportunities for unemployed individuals in the area.
