Valdepeñas will celebrate this Saturday, June 21, Pride 2025, which aims to promote tolerance and equality for the LGTBI+ community through a diversity party, taking place in Plaza de España, starting at 10:00 p.m., and featuring the performance of the Benidorm Fest 2024 finalist, Jorge González, the drag show by Alma Desoul and drag Amira, in charge of directing the event and playing the most danceable tunes until the early hours.
The event organized by the Valdepeñas City Council will include a manifesto, which will be read by the Valdepeñas artist Senipaifos, an activist for LGTBI+ rights and named in 2023 Favorite Daughter of Castilla-La Mancha. Additionally, Plaza Constitución will host the Mad Street Food that weekend, with food trucks from the Food Trucks La Mancha Association.
Artist Jorge González will headline this diversity party organized by the City Council for the third consecutive year, which has been very successful in previous editions with renowned artists like Melody and Soraya Arnelas, with the attendance of thousands of people.
The popular singer will offer a rhythmic show, alongside his team of dancers, where he will perform the song ‘Caliente’, with which he participated in Benidorm Fest 2024, as well as versions of hits by artists like Ricky Martin, among other surprises.
He was also one of the favorites at the Benidorm song festival with his song ‘Caliente’, which was very popular among the audience. An outstanding performance for his voice and choreography, which the artist had previously demonstrated with his versatility on stage in the eighth edition of the show ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar’, where he emerged as the winner.
This was not his first talent show; Jorge González has also participated in ‘The Voice’ and gained popularity among the public as a contestant on ‘Operación Triunfo’ in 2006. In his extensive music career, he also stands out for presenting his candidacy to represent Spain in Eurovision 2009 and joining the musical ‘La Cage aux Folles’.
In addition, Valdepeñas’ Pride 2025 will also feature artist Alma Desoul, who has won the Drag Queen Gala of Valdepeñas three times and has also received top awards at drag galas in cities like Malaga, Merida, Torremolinos, and Benalmádena, among others.
Furthermore, Amira will lead this event and will be the DJ responsible for entertaining the show until the early hours with the best music. Her experience speaks for itself as she has performed and played at important LGTBI+ events like Sissypop, Mariquita Fest, Baila Cariño, and Marta Cariño.
