The Municipal Summer School of Valdepeñas will be back in operation during the holiday season, from July 4th to August 29th, with the aim of balancing work and family life. An activity that saw 300 preschool and school-aged children participate last year, and this year those born between January 1, 2013, and December 31, 2021, can enroll.
The Councilor for Social Services, María del Mar Marqués, has stated that this edition will once again take place at the facilities of the Luis Palacios public school in fortnightly sessions from July 4th to 17th, July 18th to 31st, August 1st to 14th, and August 18th to 29th, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Marqués mentioned, «As done last year, in coordination with the Sports Department, the sports schools and the summer school will coincide in fortnightly sessions at the same time, so we can send one child to the summer school and, for example, if another of our children wants to go to a sports camp, they will coincide on the same dates. It is worth noting that we will also have a morning classroom, from 7:45 a.m. and then from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., through the Corresponsables Plan.»
The price for each session will be 80 euros, with a 30% discount for families with incomes below the Minimum Interprofessional Salary (SMI). Additionally, there will be a coordinator for children with special needs, and workshops on equality, recycling, games, intergenerational activities with users of the Lucero Senior Center, and pool activities for older participants.
Pre-registrations can be done online from June 9th to 17th, through the website www.valdepenas.es > Electronic headquarters > Featured procedures, with digital signature or Cl@ve, or with assistance through the Digital Inclusion Points (PID) located in the morning at the Town Hall on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, at Social Services on Wednesdays, and at the Popular University on Wednesday afternoons.
