Reloading’s debut album ‘Never too late’ blends life’s positive and negative aspects.

The metal group from Toledo, Reloading, will release their first studio album, ‘Never too late’, on Friday, March 21. An album in which the band aims to showcase «the positive and negative sides of life» and that «it is never too late to be happy.»

This was stated in an interview with Europa Press by Tania (vocals and lyricist), Sergio (bass and backing vocals), Rafa (drums), Tito (guitar), and Jorge (guitar), where they discuss how this album was forged, what influenced them, and the overarching theme of this work.

The album consists of eight songs – ‘Sun came out’, ‘I don’t want someone like you’, ‘Monster’, ‘Never too late’, ‘Illusion’, ‘Ethernal in the heart’, ‘Take off your mask’, and ‘Negativity’, preceded by an intro.

QUESTION: Does the album have a conceptual theme or is it about something specific?

Tania: «The album reflects some of my experiences. Depending on my mood at the time or what the song suggests to me, I try to explore the positive and negative aspects of life. In fact, we have already released the music video for the title track, ‘Never Too Late’, which is about it never being too late to be happy. It’s like: You have to live it.»

Sergio: «‘Never Too Late’ is a song where you want to show that it’s never too late to be happy, to have a goal, or to start something new. Ultimately, that’s also what motivates us as humans, and we wanted that vibe to come through in the music video.»

Jorge: «We believe that this song will resonate well because it is very positive. We bring a slightly different style to what is currently out there, and we hope to receive good feedback from the audience.»

QUESTION: What has influenced you in creating this debut album?

Tania: «We have many influences because each of us has our own style, and the beauty of this is that everyone contributes what they like and what they know how to do. In my case, I have always listened to a lot of music, and now, for example, I have many influences because I love Alter Bridge, but I have also been listening to Evanescence since my adolescence, as well as rock bands like Foo Fighters or Queen. But I have also listened to a lot of blues and jazz.»

Sergio: «It’s really about life, personal experiences, the bands you listen to – all of that ultimately influences your ideas. But also, what you are constantly listening to, those bands that inspire you or that style of music you like. In my case, apart from In Flames, there are Alter Bridge and Tremonti.»

QUESTION: How did you compose it?

Jorge: «In composing this album, we mainly focused on bringing riffs and ideas to the studio and working on them. We aimed to have different songs, not all the same, and we played around with that. We have a slower song, we have songs that are a bit heavier, and we believe that the mix of everything will work well.»

Tania: «Each of us has our own style, and the beauty of this is that everyone contributes what they like and what they know how to do. And then, together, we bring a bit of everyone, and from there, the idea emerges, which in the end, is very cool and beautiful.»

Rafa: «Within the composition of the album, the influences are very varied and various types within the metal genre converge.»

QUESTION: How and when did you record the album?

Jorge: «The album was recorded throughout 2024 at California Studios in Madrid, under the direction of Víctor Saiz. It is a self-production where the five of us were responsible for the final work.»

Tania: «We tried to do the production here, in the studio, to then take it to the studio and make sure everything is more or less correct and that there are no mishaps when playing it live and recording it.»

Sergio: «It was finished recording in June 2024, and between wanting to do it right, carrying out a music video, and working on the booklet… Also, releasing it in 2025 is because it is when we have the most time to present the album and promote it as we want.»

QUESTION: Can you give us a preview of the physical format of this debut album?

Tania: «It includes a booklet where, in addition to the lyrics of the songs for people to see, it also contains photos of us on each page, showing our faces or me, for example, in full body shots.»

QUESTION: Are you planning to perform live to support this album soon?

Rafa: «We don’t have any confirmed dates at the moment.»

Sergio: «Initially, we are already looking to start moving after the summer, in September. When you release an album, it’s difficult to get concerts to promote it because the dates are very tight. That’s why we are already talking to people and moving around to start promoting the album in September or October.»

Jorge: «We are already looking for dates from September to end 2025 with many concerts and start 2026 with more dates.»

Tania: «Right now, we are trying to find some gigs, but it’s complicated at the moment because I recently became a mother. However, we are planning for September.»
