María Jesús Madrona emphasized the importance of this activity, aligned with the theme of World Parkinson’s Week: «Every step, a gesture of solidarity: move for Parkinson’s.» «Yoga is a discipline that significantly improves the balance and mobility of people with Parkinson’s, so we expect a great turnout,» she noted.
Noemí Olaya, leading the session, assured that she will adapt the practice to the participants’ needs. «I have students with Parkinson’s and I have seen how yoga helps them improve their balance and mobility. It is an accessible and highly beneficial activity for everyone,» she affirmed. She also clarified that mats are not needed as the pavilion floor is suitable for the practice.
