The Municipal School of Music and Dance ‘Ignacio Morales Nieva’ in Valdepeñas has opened the application period for the academic year 2025-2026. Until May 23rd, the deadline is exclusively open for new students and those wishing to change their specialty or study plan. Students continuing in the same study plan do not need to apply, as their enrollment will be renewed at a later date, from June 10th to 20th. The center, known for its educational excellence and commitment to student motivation and artistic development, welcomed over 400 students last year, placing its students at the top of entrance exams to higher education, a number it hopes to exceed this year thanks to the support and trust of its students. The Municipal School of Music and Dance ‘Ignacio Morales Nieva’, under the Valdepeñas City Council, offers official elementary education with a recently stabilized staff of higher education qualified teachers, as well as unofficial programs for young ages (from 3 years old), and even for those who wish to maintain a link with music in a fun way after completing formal studies. Musical specialties include Piano, Trumpet, Clarinet, Modern Keyboard, Saxophone, Violin, Classical Guitar, Electric Guitar, Horn, Tuba, Trombone, Vocals, Flute, Percussion, Drums, and Viola. In dance, it offers specialties in Spanish Dance, Classical Ballet, Flamenco, Modern Dance, Contemporary Dance, and Sevillanas.
