An event that will start with the Parade at 6:30 p.m. from the Fairground, advancing through Camino de la Resinera, Camino Viveros, Escultor Jamete, San Julián avenue, Paseo del Pinar, and San Cosme, ending at around 7:30 p.m. in Reina Sofía Square in the Fuente del Oro neighborhood.
It will be there where the burning of the sardine will take place, which has been carried out by Aspadec staff, and subsequent tasting among the attendees thanks to the collaboration of the local establishments and the Neighborhood Association.
The City Council of Cuenca will also award prizes for the best costumes, specifically one group prize of 200 euros and three individual prizes of 50, 30, and 20 euros.
The program of activities for Carnival 2024 has been carried out by the City Council of Cuenca through the Department of Festivities and by the Friends of the Carnival of Cuenca Association, along with the Provincial Group of Hospitality and Tourism of Cuenca in the case of the Old Town Carnival, and with the collaboration of the Provincial Council and the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha.
