About to open its doors in the 2025 edition that will start this Friday and will last until Saturday, the Toledo Beat Festival faces its third edition with «a lot of excitement» and predicts surprises in 2026 with the hiring of an international artist.
This was stated to Europa Press by the promoter and organizer of the event, Víctor del Río, who pointed out that all the setup is already finished after two weeks of work at the La Peraleda fairground in the regional capital.
«Looking forward to good weather and for people to have a good time,» he said, mentioning that this 9th and 10th of May, a total of 40,000 people will attend the festival, with over 70% coming from outside the city, «which will create movement in the morning throughout the Casco area.»
According to Del Río, the Beat Festival aims to be a family-friendly event that encourages the entry of minors, who under eight years old can enter for free, and the discounted entry for minors has a «symbolic» cost of 25 euros.
«What we do is create a good atmosphere and a good experience where we see parents coming with their children, and that ultimately makes the experience much more enjoyable for everyone,» emphasized the promoter of the Toledo Beat Festival.
THE LINEUP
For this, the festival features a lineup with names like Lory Meyers, Zahara, La La Love You, Miss Cafeina, Dani Fernández, or Sidonie; to which Del Río added the «special» concert of Viva Suecia that gives Beat the characteristic of «not being just another festival.»
«It will be a concert where incredible artists will perform for almost two hours,» he stated, highlighting the other groups «surrounding» the lineup that have «raised their level», as well as emerging groups that suddenly perform at 6:00 PM but are playing at the Movistar Arena this year.
Following the agreement with the City Council of Toledo that ensures the festival’s celebration for two more years, the promoter mentioned that the organization was aware that this event should not be a one-day thing, «what we were looking for was continuity and peace of mind.»
«This allows us, now knowing the dates for the upcoming editions, to have the possibility of hiring international artists, which is a duty that I believe the festival has from now on. Before we couldn’t do it because we were a bit late in the hiring process, now we are fully immersed in it and I think we will surprise,» he asserted.
THE VENUE
Regarding this year’s venue, Del Río highlighted that the square meters have been expanded so that everyone is «much more comfortable» with the intention of avoiding queues because the dining area and beverage bars have also been expanded.
«The concert areas have become much clearer so that people do not have obstacles in their vision and can perfectly see the two stages that have been set up, there is a growing VIP area and a parking area that is increasingly well utilized and squeezed to accommodate the largest number of cars,» he added.
In addition, this year there are free shuttle buses, funded by the festival, for all those traveling from the Old Town to the venue. «I think all the ingredients are there for the festival to be wonderful once again this year,» he concluded.
