Cuenca será sede del 23º Campeonato Regional de Gimnasia Rítmica de Fecam para personas con discapacidad.

On Saturday, March 15th, the city of Cuenca will host the 23rd Regional Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship of Fecam (Federation of Sports for People with Intellectual Disabilities of Castilla-La Mancha), maintaining «the wide and constant collaboration with this entity that always repeats in our city celebrating many of its championships, events that are also examples of inclusion through sports,» highlighted the mayor of Cuenca, Darío Dolz.

Dolz recalled that «this close collaboration has been going on for a long time, as in previous years we have already hosted two Spanish Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships for people with disabilities, in 2022 and 2023, organized by Feddi -the Spanish Federation, but in which we have worked hand in hand with Fecam-; three Regionals in this same discipline between 2020 and 2022; and the Athletics Regional last 2024. And of course, we hope that there will be many more in the future.»

This competition, organized in collaboration with the City Council of Cuenca, the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha, and the Provincial Council of Cuenca, is one of the championships that enjoys the greatest media impact, as highlighted by Fecam, both for its spectacle and for the effort and overcoming of the athletes. In the last edition, it brought together almost a hundred people from a dozen Castilla-La Mancha clubs.
