Amiab Albacete secured their fourth European Champions Cup victory in wheelchair basketball on Saturday in Istanbul, Turkey, by defeating Italian team DECO Amicacci Abruzzo (62-42).
The Albacete team, led by Abraham Carrión, played a solid game from the start, excelling in both defense and offense. American player Jorge Salazar stood out with 11 rebounds and 24 points.
The Italian team put up a strong fight in the early stages of the game, but they couldn’t prevent Albacete from winning the first quarter 15-12.
Despite the narrow margins, the score at halftime was 27-25, keeping the game open and undecided.
