El Ayuntamiento aprueba mejoras en Valcentro y estudia nueva entrada en calle Virgen – Ayuntamiento de Valdepeñas

The Valdepeñas Town Hall is preparing for the upcoming plenary session in June, where they plan to approve a modification of credits totaling 187,000 euros. This budget will be allocated for various projects, including an investment of 87,000 euros in the Valcentro municipal market for maintenance and conservation purposes.

Additionally, the Government spokesperson, Francisco Delgado, has hinted at potential enhancements to the Valcentro building. There is a proposal to create a new entrance on Calle Virgen to make the building more attractive and accessible. The relocation of a bank occupying a ground-floor space for the past 40 years has opened up opportunities for reconfiguring the building layout. The ultimate goal is to have a main entrance from Calle Virgen and utilize the available space to enhance the building’s accessibility and modernize it for public service.

The proposed modifications also include improving lighting in Plaza Constitución, acquiring an asphalt compactor, converting the former SEPECAM offices in Valcentro into municipal public service offices, and purchasing computer equipment.

Furthermore, the plenary session will address the awarding of a contract for the renewal of the Home Help Service. This contract, valued at 3,415,333 euros, is initially set for a 12-month period, with an annual cost of 1,109,986 euros. It is extendable for two additional 12-month periods. The Home Help Service benefits 180 users in the city and provides over 60,000 service hours annually, including weekends and holidays.

The Valdepeñas Town Hall is committed to these improvements and developments to enhance the quality of services provided to its residents.
