El Ayuntamiento de Cuenca sancionará a una grafitera identificada por la Policía Nacional

The City Council of Cuenca is going to initiate a new sanctioning procedure against a graffiti artist, amounting to 1,500 euros, as well as the repair of the damage – cleaning of the graffiti – as established in the Municipal Ordinance for the Protection of Public Spaces and Citizen Coexistence, as a result of the complaint filed by members of the National Police, who caught and identified the offender while she was in action during the early hours of February 7.

The Councilor for Citizen Participation, Alberto Castellano Barragán, has highlighted «the collaboration of the City Council of Cuenca with the Security Forces, in this case the National Police, to identify those who attack the heritage of all residents of Cuenca by making graffiti, who we will proceed to sanction according to what the Ordinance dictates.»

It is worth noting that between April and July of last year, twenty fines were issued for amounts of 1,500 euros each, and in March the National Police arrested a graffiti artist who had caused damage estimated at 18,000 euros in residential communities and businesses in Cuenca.
