The Third edition of the Rision Week arrives with 9 days of activities for adults and children.
The councilor of culture, Juan José Calero, together with local comedian, Jesús Arenas, has presented the third edition of the Risión Week, an idea that emerged three years ago, from Gachas Comedy, to bring theater and culture to the youngest and to all neighborhoods of Villarrobledo.

An event that has been growing since its beginnings and now, in its third edition, schedules nine days of activities for all audiences, with children’s theater, storytelling, monologues, and wine tastings from July 23 to August 10.

This is pointed out by Calero, emphasizing that it is an event that is consolidated in the month of July in Villarrobledo, thanking the team of Gachas Comedy, Jesús Arenas, Carlos Martínez, and Sergio Gabaldón, for their commitment to Villarrobledo, counting on the collaboration and contribution of the City Council.

As a novelty this year, activities have also been scheduled in the mornings, with two sessions at different times so that more people can enjoy the shows that are always well received, and also to offer an alternative to children and families in the summer vacation mornings.

On his part, Jesús Arenas points out that the Risión Week continues to grow, thanks to the support of the public that responds each year to the scheduled activities, to the support of the City Council, which trusted this project from the beginning, and to the support of the sponsoring companies, thanking Bodegas don Octavio, Hotel Restaurante Casa Lorenzo, Restaurante Casa Félix, Ayrén, Nieves Moreno Abogados, and the DO La Mancha, for their involvement and collaboration.

The activities will start on Wednesday, July 23 at 11 in the morning at the multipurpose center of Juan Valero San Antón, with stories and humor by Nuria Carrilero who will present her show two more days, on Thursday, August 7, and Friday, August 8, at the Abastos market and at the Lucas Blázquez Multipurpose Center in two sessions, at 11 in the morning and at 12:30, with free admission and attendance by registration.

The parks will also be protagonists during the afternoons, with the children’s puppet theater, «Miki, A Fun Journey,» on July 24, at 8:30 p.m., at Joaquín Acacio Park. The children’s theater «Ferdinando, The Bull» will take place on Tuesday, July 29, at the same time, at the Children’s Traffic Park, and on August 4, at the municipal soccer field, it will be the turn of Juanma García and his magic show with humor «Magic Satellite Dishes.»

With this, Jesús Arenas points out that the objective of bringing culture to the neighborhoods of Villarrobledo is being fulfilled, creating a proposal for the whole family in these vacation days.

On the other hand, the traditional solidarity wine tasting that takes place within the Rision Week will be held this year at the facilities of Bodegas Don Octavio, by Jesús Arenas and the DO La Mancha. It will be held on Saturday, July 26, at 12 and at 1:30, with a charitable entrance fee of 8 euros and the profits will go entirely to the Association of Friends of the Saharawi People and their program «Vacations in Peace.»

The Rision Week has also scheduled what Jesús Arenas describes as a «Naughty Night,» on Thursday, July 31, at the municipal soccer field, presented by Agustín Durán and with performances by Gonzalo Jiménez, Lore Navarro, and Isaac Calero. This show has a price of 12 euros in advance and 15 at the box office.

This year’s Risión Week will have its grand finale on Sunday, August 10, as part of the Cultural Summer, with the show in the Municipal Gardens by Comandante Lara and Cia, thus completing 10 days of activities for all ages. Tickets for these two shows are already on sale.

Arenas concludes by emphasizing that bringing culture to the younger audience is a way to create a habit for them to continue consuming culture when they are older, also facilitating access to it, taking it out of the city center and bringing it to the neighborhoods, filling spaces, offering activities to do as a family.
