The City Council of Cuenca now proudly displays the flag of the Romani People, joining the commemoration of their International Day on this 8th of April and showing «our commitment to this community, which demands progress in their recognition, history, and culture,» stated the mayor, Darío Dolz.
Also present at the event were the Councilor of Social Services, Estela Soliva; the Councilor of Citizen Participation, Alberto Castellano; and the Councilor of Urban Planning, Adrián Martínez Vicente; in this 2025 that has been declared by the central Government as the Year of the Romani People in Spain.
The Government team thus shows its support for the Romani people, emphasizing the importance of addressing the structural inequalities that affect them.
