The Municipal Summer School in Valdepeñas has started with the aim of reconciling the work life of families with a first fortnight with fifty children enrolled.
The Councilor for Social Services, María del Mar Marqués, visited the Luis Palacios Public School where she highlighted that «here they can continue learning, sharing, educating themselves during this summer period while having fun,» emphasizing that «a multitude of workshops have been prepared for them to learn in a playful way.» In addition, Marqués pointed out that the Municipal Summer School in Valdepeñas «has monitors for children with special needs, who are participating with total inclusion, which is what we aim for.»
This edition takes place in fortnights, from July 4 to 17, from July 18 to 31, from August 1 to 14, and from August 18 to 29, from 9:00 to 14:00, running parallel to municipal sports schools. It also has a morning classroom, from 7:45, and later, from 14:00 to 15:00, through the Corresponsables Plan.
Marqués added that, to make this summer more fun and educational, film forum workshops, equality workshops, two days of swimming for children over 7 years old, and horticultural activities have been prepared, using the school garden of the Luis Palacios Public School.
