The technical inclusion team of Valdepeñas worked with 176 people last year, focusing on the inclusion of families and their social integration. The team, consisting of a psychologist, a social worker, and a social educator, developed individualized social inclusion itineraries for 114 adults and 62 minors. The program, funded by the European Social Fund Plus, aimed to acquire social competencies and skills through comprehensive support.
In addition to individual interventions, the team collaborated with the Local Employment Office to support active employment programs for 21 individuals, including two with disabilities. These programs included social and vocational orientation, as well as training modules for various professional certifications. The team also organized group workshops on social skills, job search, mediation services, and family education in coordination with other entities.
Furthermore, seven women participated in the «Electromechanical Employment School» program, co-organized by the Valdepeñas City Council and Action Against Hunger. This initiative, financed by the European Social Fund Plus and the Iberdrola Foundation, aimed to bridge the gender gap in a traditionally male-dominated sector.
The team also collaborated with social entities like Caritas, Crea Mediation, and the Gypsy Federation to provide comprehensive prevention and care services to individuals facing social exclusion. These collaborations complemented the team’s individual interventions and aimed to address the diverse needs of the community.
The efforts of the technical inclusion team of Valdepeñas reflect a holistic approach to social inclusion, emphasizing the importance of individualized support, vocational training, and community collaboration. The team’s dedication to promoting social integration and empowerment has made a positive impact on the lives of many residents in Valdepeñas.
