The president of the Popular Party of Castilla-La Mancha, Paco Núñez, has stated that while Emiliano García-Page and the PSOE of Castilla-La Mancha «continue to fight» in the Federal Committee of the PSOE, the PP of Castilla-La Mancha is supporting Alberto Núñez Feijóo to «get rid of Sánchez from La Moncloa as soon as possible.»
This was indicated in statements to the media on the second day of the 21st National Congress of the PP, where he highlighted the inclusion in the party’s political report of a series of measures on water policy, advocating for the need to implement a National Water Pact.
Núñez emphasized the importance of having water infrastructure in Castilla-La Mancha and for autonomous communities to «participate in decisions that affect the entire country in water matters,» as well as addressing drought at a national level, as reported by the PP in a press release.
«These are very positive measures that we have incorporated from the PP of Castilla-La Mancha into Feijóo’s PP political report, and I am very proud of it,» since the regional PP had a clear objective of «defending water for Spain and for Castilla-La Mancha, and this has been achieved with a great team and with President Feijóo.»
Likewise, the leader of the ‘popular’ party in Castilla-La Mancha expressed satisfaction with the inclusion of 40 members of the regional party in Feijóo’s new team at the helm of the PP.
He highlighted the presence of the national deputy for Ciudad Real, Carmen Fúnez, as the deputy secretary for Social Policy and Health; as well as the presence of Ana Guarinos on the National Executive Committee, or Carolina Agudo, Miguel Ángel Ruiz, Ana Cantarero, or Almudena González on the National Board of Directors, in addition to the provincial presidents, mayors, or national parliamentarians.
«A great representation of the PP-CLM that comes to complete what is shaping up to be a great weekend for our party,» he concluded.
Agustín Conde, Alejo Joaquín Miranda de Larra, Antonio Martínez, Antonio Román, Beatriz Jiménez, Benjamín Prieto, Carlos Velázquez, Carmen Riolobos, Carolina Agudo, or Daniel Pérez are among them.
