García-Page presenta un nuevo Plan Especial de Empleo para entidades sociales

García-Page advances a new Special Employment Plan that will allow entities and social organizations to make “almost 375” hirings

Marchamalo (Guadalajara), April 23, 2025.- The regional president, Emiliano García-Page, has announced today the publication, this Thursday, of a “new Special Employment Plan for non-profit organizations in the region” to make “almost 375” new hirings financed by the Autonomous Community”, aimed at supporting “NGOs and all types of social organizations”.

This was announced by the head of the Castilla-La Mancha Government in Marchamalo, in the province of Guadalajara, where he presided over the signing ceremony for the creation of the Egg Technology Center with the support of FEDER Funds and the collaboration of the Avicultores de Castilla-La Mancha Association (AVICAM).

“This region had the obligation, more than the opportunity, to lead in research and development” in a production field where the Autonomous Community is an indisputable national leader, as it produces up to “22 million eggs per day” accounting for 40 percent of the total production in the country.

Specifically, this Special Employment Plan aimed at non-profit entities (ESAL) will be published this Thursday in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha (DOCM) and will see a significant increase in its allocation, rising from 2 to 3.5 million euros, also expanding the range of projects and sectors to which these entities can direct their hires, in a call that expects to cover 150 projects.

At the starting point of the new Egg Technology Center, with an investment of “almost five million euros”, the regional president valued Castilla-La Mancha being “among the first regions in Spain in terms of execution and efficiency of European funds”, which has allowed, as in the case of this new infrastructure, to take “a step forward”.

In this context, Emiliano García-Page praised “a decision we made at the time” which led to the hiring of “over 500 people in special employment plans in all departments, without which it would have been impossible to manage, as an Administration, the amount of money, turning it into projects and meeting the very demanding execution deadlines set by the European Union”.

According to the head of the regional Government, the “intangible” fact of enjoying “political stability, having normality” in the region is “key when starting a project and having time to finish it”, as well as to “be able to look at things, not in the short term”, but with an eye on “the day after tomorrow and even a decade, a generation”.

The importance of reading, not just “a habit”, but also “a discipline”

In another matter, the head of the Castilla-La Mancha Government wanted to commemorate this International Book Day, from a region that can “boast of being at the forefront, also in Spain, in the Library Network” with “the most extensive network, to the point that we reach 97 percent of municipalities”.

“I believe that, at this moment, we are experiencing a new stage of expansion in reading and there is an interest in reading,” highlighted Emiliano García-Page on this April 23rd about a “habit” that should also become “a discipline” in the educational field.

During this event, García-Page was accompanied by the President of the regional Courts, Pablo Bellido; the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, and Rural Development, Julián Martínez Lizán; the delegate of the Junta in Guadalajara, Rosa María García Ruiz; and by the mayor of the municipality, Rafael Esteban, among other authorities.
