La creación de empresas disminuye un 21,4% en febrero en Castilla-La Mancha

The creation of new companies in Castilla-La Mancha decreased by 21.4% in February on an annual basis with a total of 243 mercantile societies established, in a month where 48 companies were dissolved, 5.9% less, according to data released on Tuesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).

To establish the 243 companies created last February, slightly over 8.83 million euros were subscribed, which is 32.86% less than in the same month a year ago (8.83 million in disbursed capital).

Of the 48 companies that closed last February in Castilla-La Mancha, 36 did so voluntarily; 5 through mergers with other companies, and the remaining 7 due to other reasons.

Navarra (+30.49%), La Rioja (+7.5%), and Murcia (+6.79%) were the regions with the largest growth in company creation, while Asturias, Madrid, and Canarias recorded declines of 28.96%, 26.68%, and 25.78%, respectively.

In terms of company dissolution, Navarra (+83.33%), Extremadura (+34.29%), and Galicia (+24.5%) were the communities that destroyed the most companies on an annual basis, while Cantabria, La Rioja, and Canarias were the ones with the least, with declines of 29.82%, 28.57%, and 26.17%, respectively.

On the other hand, the number of mercantile societies that increased capital rose by 69% in Castilla-La Mancha in February, reaching 98 companies. The capital subscribed in these increases reached 26.78 million euros, a figure 16.4% lower than in February of the previous year.
