Presentación de Veranos Culturales con más de 50 actividades gratuitas en barrios

The Department of Culture has presented the program of the Cultural Summers 2025, an ambitious proposal that will fill the city with music, theater, cinema, humor, and activities for the whole family between the months of July and August. «With more than 50 free events, this edition reinforces its commitment to accessible, decentralized, and quality culture, expanding its presence to new spaces such as the neighborhood of Alamín or the Clara Campoamor boulevard,» commented the Councilor of Culture of the City Council of Guadalajara, Javier Toquero.

The councilor indicated that «the objective is for culture to take to the streets, reach our neighborhoods, and for all citizens to have the opportunity to enjoy a varied, free, and quality program.» Likewise, he thanked the involvement of the local cultural fabric and the collaboration of entities such as the Delegation of Culture of the Junta de Comunidades and the Museum of Guadalajara.

All performances will be free and will start at 22:00, except for those at the Concordia bandstand, which will start at 21:00.

From July 8 to August 8, the historic Patio de los Leones of the Palacio del Infantado will host eleven nighttime performances, including a new edition of Midnight Verses (July 8), concerts such as those of Javier Matía and Los Hermanos Cubero, and the theatrical representation of El Marqués de las Navas.

Outdoor cinema returns to the Jardines de San Antonio every Monday in July, with titles such as La boda de Rosa, Bajo terapia, Miocardio, and ¿Es el enemigo? La película de Gila.

At the same time, the Parque de las Adoratrices is added as a new space for summer cinema, with family screenings on Tuesdays, such as Super Mario Bros, Elemental, or Mortadelo y Filemón.

Live music will also have a leading role at the Templete of the Parque de la Concordia, which will host performances by groups such as the Provincial Band, the Sacedón, Brihuega, and Jadraque Music Bands, and the Folkloric Group of the Palacio de la Cotilla, starting at 21:00.

One of the great novelties of this year is the incorporation of the Museo Sobrino as a cultural stage, with two concerts in its inner courtyard: the tribute to The Beatles Nowhere Men (July 9) and Che Bandoneon: Carbone Tango Ensemble (July 23), within the International Tango Festival of Granada. These events will also be free until full capacity.

Cultural summer in the neighborhoods of Guadalajara

With the firm purpose of bringing culture to every corner of the city, the Cultural Summers 2025 will extend to multiple neighborhoods:

– Clara Campoamor Boulevard: concerts by Las Negras del 45, Unfrontier, and La Versioneta (July 4 and 25, and August 1).
– Alamín Park: performances by Señor Nadye, Late Capital, and Laura Pinto (July 4 and 18, and August 1).
– Louis Braille Square (La Llanilla): groups such as LAIKLE TUCO LAIF DAB, The Dilers 44, and Reciclaje.
– Jardinillo Square: new Comedy Nights cycle with comedians like Joseba, Juan de Dios, and David Rodri (every Friday in July).
– San Roque Park: will be the stage for children’s programming on Wednesdays in July, with puppet shows, storytelling, and family theater.
– San Roque Hermitage: concerts every Saturday in July with artists like Quique Meléndez, Rock Rialto, and Chema Abascal.

A cultural summer, also, in the annexed neighborhoods

The program will also reach the annexed neighborhoods of Taracena, Usanos, Iriépal, and Valdenoches, which will have two performances each, with proposals ranging from pop to children’s shows, thanks to the coordination with their respective local mayors.

The Councilor of Culture has pointed out that the Cultural Summers 2025 reaffirm the commitment of the City Council to a lively, close, and inclusive culture for all audiences. «We thank the involvement of technicians, artists, associations, and collaborators who make this program possible and, of course, the residents of Guadalajara, who fill our squares and parks every year with their participation and enthusiasm,» concluded the councilor.
