Valdepeñas is set to bring the approval of the Flood Risk Action Plan to the Plenary session in April, which aims to coordinate all emergency services and provide advance warnings to residents in flood-prone areas. This comprehensive document outlines the protocol to follow in case of flooding in Valdepeñas, ensuring a coordinated response involving all services and residents in vulnerable areas to prevent human tragedies and protect property.
Additionally, the Plenary session will address a budget modification of over 340,000 euros for the hiring of services and technical document drafting for urban development programs in various areas of the city. This includes the creation of a new road connecting the Auditorium Theater with East Park and the new fairground, as well as projects for the Canal de La Veguilla boulevard extension and the rehabilitation of Casa de los Vasco.
Moreover, there will be another budget modification of 30,250 euros for repairing the roof of the Los Llanos Sports Complex gymnasium to prevent leaks. The Plenary session will also finalize the transfer of 15,000 square meters for the construction of social housing in the northern area of the city to Gicaman, a public infrastructure management company.
