Exposición de microrrelatos ‘Nasciturus’ en la Biblioteca de Valdepeñas

The Valdepeñas Public Library is hosting the exhibition of illustrated micro-stories ‘Nasciturus’, by Pertinaz Pertinaz and Maldomado until May 9th.

This exhibition features 19 micro-stories and micro-fiction that kick off the activities program for the Book Week, organized by the Culture Department of the Valdepeñas City Council. Vanessa Irla, the Deputy Mayor for Culture, highlighted that the exhibition is part of a series of activities aimed at all age groups to promote reading through various events during the week. She also added that ‘Nasciturus’ showcases different illustrated micro-stories that delve into everyday life, with a social critique that encourages reflection.

Pepa Maldonado, a writer, explained that visitors to the exhibition will not leave the same way they entered, as the micro-stories, some as short as a sentence, provoke a reaction in the reader. The images in the exhibition touch on themes such as loneliness, lack of communication, the human condition, literature, the commercialized society, and challenge normative standards through social critique.

‘Nasciturus’ was a standout exhibition at the Annual Literature Prize for Emerging Writers by the Jaén Provincial Council.

The entry ‘The Valdepeñas Library hosts the exhibition of micro-stories ‘Nasciturus’, by Pertinaz Pertinaz and Maldomado’ was originally published on the Valdepeñas City Council website.
